Elk NetworkVolunteers Plant a Brighter Future for Washington Elk

Conservation | April 9, 2019

Pickups, ATVs, work gloves and a crew of 13 volunteers with a desire to make habitat better for elk and other critters recently got together for Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation outing near Mt. St. Helens in southwest Washington.

The group planted 8,000 seedlings of several different types of deciduous trees, berry bushes and other vegetation that will nourish not only the local elk population but up to 200 other species that share the same landscape.
