May 31, 2018, marks the first day to apply for a permit to hunt female elk, moose, deer and pronghorn in Utah. Go to the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) website for details.

“Once you arrive at the web page, you’ll find detailed maps, boundary descriptions for the various hunting units, a list of the hunts you can apply for and a link to the application itself,” said Lindy Varney, DWR wildlife licensing coordinator.

The application period closes on June 21.
