Bowhunters and archers in southwest Minnesota will soon have a new place to practice thanks to grant funding provided by the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. The grant, combined with funding of partner groups, will allow for the construction of a new archery range in Marshall.

“It’s going to be a nice setup,” Preston Stensrud, Marshall Parks supervisor, told the Marshall Independent. “It will be a place for local archers to come out and shoot,”

The archery range includes archery stations with 12 targets ranging from 10 to 100 yards in distance. There will also be a sidewalk, bowholders, picnic tables and other items.
