The Snake River Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation donated $500 to benefit the Natural Resources Department at Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Oregon.

The funding will go toward an endowed scholarship at the school.

Students assist the local chapter in its efforts of raising funds for RMEF’s mission of ensuring the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat and our hunting heritage.

“With the help of Marcus (Nichols, Natural Resources instructor) and the TVCC Natural Resource Group, our banquet runs smoothly, Craig DeBoer, Snake River Chapter volunteer, told the Argus Observer. “The resource group helps with general raffles, silent and live auctions, and many games. With the added help from the Natural Resource group, it makes much easier to get all the tasks at hand done.”
