Below is a post made on June 7, 2018, on the Nevada Department of Wildlife Facebook page.

For today’s edition of Throwback Thursday, we look back to February 1984 when the Nevada Department of Wildlife released 80 Rocky Mountain elk from Woodruff, Utah, at three locations in the Spring Mountain Range.

This was the second such release. The first occurred in 1935.
