The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation focuses on its conservation mission of ensuring the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat and our hunting heritage. When it comes to ensuring the future of our “hunting heritage,” RMEF seeks to do so by sponsoring a myriad of hunting- and outdoor-related programs, camps, seminars, scholarship opportunities and other activities and events.
As part of that effort, RMEF holds a seat on the board of directors for the Council to Advance Hunting and the Shooting Sports (CAHSS), an effort that works to recruit, retain and reactivate (R3) hunters and target shooters. RMEF sponsored the first-ever National R3 Symposium held in Lincoln, Nebraska, in 2018 and is committed to supporting hunting and the hunting culture.
Sportsmen and women have provided key funding for conservation projects across America for decades.
