We have to provide some value to society. Hunting is about purposes that are deep and meaningful to each individual and making the entire picture better for the next generation.
New Mexico is home to some of the best elk hunting in the world. And millions of acres of public land give you lots of places to chase them. Odds for the best tags are tough, but well worth the effort if you draw. Gila, Carson, Cibola, Lincoln, and Santa Fe National Forests are all great elk hunting.
