The O’Haco Ranch Project

In Elk Network Original, RMEF at Work by RMEFLeave a Comment

The O’Haco Ranch is home to one of RMEF’s longest running habitat enhancement projects. For more than 20 years, volunteers have come together annually to help maintain this private ranch that gets utilized by more than just cattle. In return, Jim O’Haco opens his ranch to the public for hunting opportunities each year with the idea that the wildlife belongs to everyone. This is a great story of a collaborative project between hard-working RMEF volunteers and a private landowner to maintain public access and quality habitat for elk.
