An 11-year-old boy from New Mexico is chasing elk, and doing so with success, despite coping with a disease that continually weakens his muscles and reduces his energy. Mason Prieskorn has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. There is no cure but his parents and others helped him raise $14,000 to purchase a souped-up wheelchair with treads on it.

“It’s really fun, it’s very rough though,” Mason told KRQE-TV.

Mason’s parents say they want to provide their son with opportunities so he can continue to do the things he enjoys.
