Elk NetworkNetting Doesn’t Slow Bull Elk

A bull elk wandering around Estes Park, Colorado, is sporting a unique look. It has netting designed to keep wildlife away from vegetation wrapped up in its antlers.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) tweeted it will continue to monitor the bull and will only intervene as a last resort.

“The bull is healthy, able to move freely, eat and drink. He just has to deal with the annoyance of some plastic.”

CPW also urges everyone to remain at a safe distance when viewing elk and other wildlife. The wildlife agency also encourages residents to remove anything from their yards that may become entangled in elk or deer antlers.
