The Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG) will host four wolf trapping classes in late 2018 and are asking participants to attend one of the gatherings below:

  • Nov 3      9 am-5 pm                IDFG Regional Office, Idaho Falls
  • Nov 9      9 am-4:30 pm         IDFG Regional Office, Lewiston
  • Nov 10    9 am-4:30 pm         IDFG Regional Office, Coeur d’Alene
  • Dec 1       9 am-4:30 pm         IDFG Fisheries Research Building, Nampa

To register for one of these classes, stop at a regional IDFG office or register online here.

Trappers who have not held an Idaho trapping license prior to July 1, 2011, must also take the standard trapper education. Go here for that information.

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation maintains that state management of both predator and prey species via hunting and trapping is key to having abundant and thriving wildlife populations.
