Hunting with Dad

One afternoon, my dad and I headed to the woods to get to our spot for the evening elk hunt. Once we got to the end of the landing, we sat next to a stump. After a little while, we decided to walk out to the end of a spur.

On our way back in, we spotted four cows at 340 yards away. My dad quickly set his backpack down on the clay bank so I could rest my gun on it. I took the shot and the elk dropped.

I had a lot of fun and will always remember getting my first elk with my dad. I love the outdoors for lots of reasons, including the chance to get away from the TV and see nature in person.
