Nothing slows down Ashlee Lundvall. A member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, she suffered a paralyzing ranching accident at age 16 but that doesn’t keep her from doing what she loves. For example, take her most recent elk hunt.

“Our persistence paid off- finally got the job done this morning! So incredibly thankful for this harvest and the meals it will provide for my family,” she wrote on her Facebook page on December 13. “So proud to be a hunter!”

Referring to time in the field hunting with her husband and daughter as “the best family time ever,” Lundvall more than did her part once the cow hit the ground.

“I harvested this cow elk in Sunlight Basin here in Wyoming. She dropped on top of a high ridge, so Russ got her down the hill and I used my Action Trackchair to pull her back to the truck. We’re a pretty good hunting team, and I love that I’m able to fully participate with my adaptive equipment!”
