HARDWOOD BIG GAME BLEND
Wild boar and venison join forces for a burger that can’t be beat. Topped with melty cheese, crunchy veggies, and a special sauce, you’ll never want to go out for burgers again.
WILD GAME BURGER:
3/4 LB VENISON
4 HAMBURGER BUNS
1 TOMATO, SLICED 1/4 INCH THICK
1 WHITE ONION SLICED 1/4 INCH THICK
4 PIECES ICEBERG LETTUCE
4 PIECES AMERICAN CHEESE
FRESHLY GROUND PEPPER & SALT, TO TASTE
1 TBSP KETCHUP
2 TSP SWEET PICKLE RELISH
1/2 TSP SUGAR
1/2 TSP DISTILLED WHITE VINEGAR
Place boar and venison in a mixing bowl and combine, being careful not to overwork the meat.
Form meat mixture into four 1/3 lb patties and sprinkle both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
Mix all ingredients for sauce together and set aside.
When ready to cook, start the Traeger grill on Smoke with the lid open until the fire is established (4 to 5 minutes). Set the temperature to 400 degrees F and preheat, lid closed, for 10 to 15 minutes.
Arrange patties on grill grate and cook, flipping once until an internal temperature of 160 degrees F is reached, or to your desired doneness.
