Elk NetworkGear 101: Cabela’s All-Day Transporter Fanny Pack

Gear 101 | December 21, 2018

If you’ve ever hiked a mile or two in to your favorite elk spot before dawn, then you’re likely familiar with an all too common problem—sweat. And nowhere is it worse than on your back. For most hunters, the reality is that they aren’t going on multi-day excursions and don’t need a giant pack. Now you can reduce or eliminate the sweat factor, and still carry everything you need with Cabela’s Transporter Fanny Pack.

To hunt hands-free, the pack features a bow or rifle boot, which can be stowed when not in use. Internally, there are ample pockets for gear and extra clothing to keep the most organized hunter happy.

An ambidextrous holster attachment on the hip belt keeps your sidearm close, and MOLLE webbing allows you to attach a quiver or other accessory. A built-in hydration reservoir keeps your water secure.

To distribute the weight, the pack offers a beefy padded hip-belt and shoulder straps often seen on internal frame packs. If don’t need the straps, simply unclip them.

To call this a fanny pack might be a little misleading as this pack features so much more than a place to put your wallet and tissues as you wait in line at Disney World. But if you’re a spot and stalk hunter, this could be exactly the pack you’ve been looking for.

Weight: 3 lbs. 3 oz.
