Elk NetworkElk Antlers Raise Big Buck$ for Refuge, Boy Scouts

It is an annual event. Hundreds of people from all across America journey to Jackson, Wyoming, for the annual Boy Scout Antler Auction at the National Elk Refuge.

When all was said and done, the 2019 auction included more than 10,000 pounds of antlers that brought in more than $186,000 for the refuge and the scouting program.

According to the Associated Press, those who bid paid out about $17 per pound for antlers. Seventy-five percent of proceeds go to the National Elk Refuge while local scouts keep about 25 percent.
