Elk NetworkCalifornia 7th Graders Learn about Archery

It isn’t every day that the school tennis court is transformed into an archery shooting range but that’s exactly what happened in Quincy, California.

A former Portola High School teacher returned to his old stomping grounds and brought a National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) lesson with him. The benefactors are Portola Junior High seventh graders who learned about archery skills and safety.

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is among a group of partners that provides grant funding to assist the program.
