General | October 31, 2019

Authorities need your help finding who poached a bull elk in south-central Utah. They say it happened sometime between October 19 (2019) and October 22 near mile marker 50 on Highway 12, about nine miles west of Escalante.

The perpetrator shot the animal and left the meat to waste. It took place on the Plateau, Boulder/Kaiparowits limited-entry bull elk hunting unit, but there were no active bull elk hunts when this bull was killed.

If you have information related to the illegal killing of this animal, or information about any other wildlife crime, call the UTiP Hotline at 1-800-662-3337.
